Who we are

Mahila Teachers’ Training College is a women’s institution of teacher education situated at Kamla Nehru Nagar, Soorsagar Road, Jodhpur. The college offers the two-year Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) programme.

The college is affiliated to Jai Narain Vyas University, Jodhpur, and is recognised by the National Council for Teacher Education. Admission to the College is done through PTET entrance exam. Since May 2018 the college has also hosted an IGNOU Study Centre, Code 88019-P.

In August 2021 the college recorded 35 years of service.

Academic Information

  • Two-year B.Ed. programme, taught as First Year and Second Year.
  • Papers I to X in each year, with unit tests held twice a session.
  • A full practicum cycle: micro teaching, two rounds of practice teaching, criticism lesson, school internship and final lesson.
  • Student life organised through houses — Alpha and Beta, and Forward, Freedom, Peace and Unity.
